The Joyful Noise C-Fund Working with Hope House in 2017

The Joyful Noise C-Fund is always looking for opportunities to enrich the lives of children and families in our area, and that means partnering with existing organizations who are doing just that! A ministry of Love Inc, Hope House offers housing and rehabilitational services in the Tri-Cities area for men, women and children. This year, the Joyful Noise C-Fund supported Love Inc and Hope House in a few different ways:

• Organized clothing/supply drives that helped to clothe families at Hope House and offer them much-needed supplies like toothbrushes and other hygiene items
• Offered children staying at Hope House a fun holiday music program through the Gift of Music, as well as free jingle bell and tambourine instruments and music instruction.
• Supported the Hope House with inclusion and invitation to our Love of Literacy Program at Loutit District Library for 2017

The Joyful Noise C-Fund will continue to support Hope House in coming years, and in order to provide services for this organization and others like it, there is something that YOU can do to help US!

Could you put a price on the smiles and cheers of twenty children?

The Joyful Noise C-Fund can!

For just $100 a week, the Joyful Noise C-Fund will be bringing Gift of Music classes and Nutrition Expedition lesson plans to the children of Stepping Stones Daycare for homeless and transient children in Holland, Michigan. The program, which lasts three consecutive weeks in August, will deliver the following activities and materials to twenty Stepping Stones students:

• A free tambourine plus care and activity materials for each child
• 30-45 weekly minutes of age-appropriate, engaging early childhood music instruction
• Nutrition Expedition learning materials which include science projects, books and even fresh vegetables and fruits to promote the learning of healthy eating habits and physical education

Spring Updates--Feeling Fresh!

We have been so pleased with the accomplishments from Joyful Noise's C-Fund so far in the new year. Here are some highlights!

Loutit Library Pizza+ Books

What an absolute success our early childhood literacy event was! Thank you so much to all who attended. We were so thrilled to successfully serve children from infancy to eight years of age with free quality reading materials and a yummy pizza dinner.

One million thanks to the support we recieved from:

Loutit District Library, Grand Haven Area Community Foundation,Domino's Pizza, Brilliance Audio, School Zone Publishing Company and all of the wonderful volunteers from Joyful Noise Childcare

With the hundreds of high quality books we had left over after the event, we were able to donate to other great programs such as Grand Haven Head Start and Holland Rescue Mission.

The Gift of Music Continues!

Our high quality, free early childhood music classes are continuing this year as planned! "Sing and Slide" (a fun multi-class session that includes a free gift of a slide whistle and companion materials) has been traveling to Grand Haven Head Start to target the students who attend there. The children are enjoying every moment of the fun singing, dancing and movement that is included for them in each week's lesson! This summer Miss Chantal will also be traveling back to Stepping Stones daycare in Holland to teach free classes. Stepping Stones is program of the Holland Rescue Mission, and a childcare center supporting the homeless and transient of Holland, Michigan.

If you build it, they will play...

We've been working hard this year to make improvements to our outdoor and indoor recreation areas!

Some recent additions to our outdoor play yards include a new sand and water table for our infants and soccer nets for our dome playground. We also purchased water table boats, bubble machines, bubble wands, and landscaping materials.

Keeping our playgrounds clean, well maintained and full of fresh and interesting things for our children to play with is a constant part of our mission and takes effort and funds!

We hope to recieve donations this year that will help us to purchase more items such as riding toys, climbers and additional landscaping materials so that students of all ages can enjoy a well planned and stimulating outdoor area!
